14 Days, One Ship, Endless Fun

My Cruise Diary Part 1

I have not cruised as much as some people, but I’ve got a dozen or so under my belt and for the most part I love it. It’s a good thing that I got a handle on my OCD though, because otherwise the germs would kill me (figuritively it not literally).

So I began looking for a cruise. I wanted one with a lot of sea days. I like sea days because I love to relax and shore days can be exhausting. Also, I’m writing a novel set in another era and whenever I try to come up with a name or a location I go down a rabbit hole for hours. If I have 10 days on a ship, I can knock it out and come home and do the research.

I mentioned this to another writer and she thought it was genuis. Because on a ship you don’t have to cook or clean. If you go to a mountain cabin you have to do something for meals. If you go to an all-inclusive you have to get around the property if it’s large or make some type of plans if it’s small. But it’s so much easier on a cruise.

So I began looking. Since I was working for Carnival at the time, I started there. But honestly, any long inexpensive cruise would do. Repositioning cruises tend to be less expensive so I found the Carnival Miracle, from November 8th-22nd. I am so excited. By the time you read this I will be on the cruise and living my dream.

Namaste.
